This school building encompasses the thermal mass of a concrete slab, environmental glazing, locally manufactured bricks and a structure comprising structural steel and timber frame, all very important environmentally for the future of Alfredton and the young children growing up in the community. The eight classrooms adjoining the enormous common area produces a feel of an expensive learning area. Built on the Southern side of the school grounds the new building links to the existing building and will be a great space for learning for generations to come. The building was officially opened by Ballarat's Federal member - Cathering King, on the 14th of February, 2011.
